This Privacy Policy describes how Binventory ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application, regardless of where in the world you access it from.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in using Sign in with Apple, we receive and store a unique identifier for your account and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. This information is used solely to create and manage your account and is processed through our authentication provider, Supabase.

Inventory Data

Any information you enter into the App — including bin titles, descriptions, storage locations, and photos you attach to a bin — is stored so that you can access and manage your inventory. This data is tied to your account and is not visible to other users. Storage locations are text labels you type yourself (for example, "garage, shelf 3") — the App does not request, access, or collect your device's GPS or precise geolocation data.

Photos

If you choose to add a photo to a bin, the App requests access to your device's camera and/or photo library solely to let you capture or select that photo. Photos you add are stored as part of your inventory data and are not used for any other purpose, and are not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to store and display them within the App.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Binventory Premium, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details (such as credit card numbers). We use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to verify your subscription status and determine whether premium features should be unlocked for your account. RevenueCat receives a device/account identifier and your subscription/purchase status, not your payment information.

How We Use Your Information, and Our Legal Basis for Doing So

We use the information described above to:

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar requirements, our legal basis for this processing is: performance of a contract (providing you the App's core functionality, such as storing your inventory data and managing your account), and your consent (for optional features such as photos, which you may decline without losing access to the App's core functionality). You may withdraw consent for optional features at any time by not granting, or by revoking, the relevant device permission in your device settings.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.
